How to apply to UK universities from Ghana: a complete guide

The UK remains the most popular destination for Ghanaian students, with over 6,000 Ghanaians studying there in 2025. This guide walks you through every step.
1. Choose your route: UCAS or direct Undergraduate applications go through UCAS. Postgraduate applications are submitted directly to each university. Mindmorph can manage either route end-to-end.
2. Convert your WASSCE to UCAS Tariff points Most UK universities require minimum WASSCE A1–B3 grades in five subjects including English and Mathematics. Russell Group universities typically require A1–A2 in core subjects.

4. Get your IELTS or PTE Most universities accept IELTS 6.0–6.5 overall, or PTE 50–58.
